Questions

Answers describe how a voluntary 1 EURC personal gift on Base would work. Nothing has opened and no gifts are accepted.

Can I give right now?
No. No wallet can be connected, no address is configured, no transfer is possible and no symbolic number has been assigned.
When does it open?
There is no gift opening date yet. The site will announce it clearly if the experiment opens.
Why would I give 1 EURC?
Only because you want to. It is a voluntary personal gift to Matteo Terenzio, a private individual. If the idea does not amuse you, give nothing.
What do I get?
Nothing of economic or contractual value: no goods, service, access, ownership, governance, profit, interest, repayment right, report, update or preferential treatment. Only a symbolic sequential number as an acknowledgement. It is not a reward, cannot be sold, transferred, reserved or owned.
Who receives a future gift?
Matteo Terenzio, the publicly identified founder, proposed recipient, site operator and data controller. Any net proceeds would become Matteo's personal assets, used at his sole discretion. Nothing can be sent now.
Is it charity?
No. It is a personal gift to an individual, not a charitable donation, not crowdfunding and not sponsorship. If you ever see the word donation here, read it as personal gift.
What rules apply?
The public conditions, privacy information and transfer rules are linked in the footer. They will be updated before the experiment can open.
Is it tax-deductible?
No. There is no charitable receipt and no deduction.
Is it a purchase, service or subscription?
No. Nothing is sold, no service is supplied and nothing recurs.
Is it an investment, loan or token?
No. It is not an investment, security, loan, deposit, equity or token issuance, and it carries no return.
Is it a lottery or prize draw?
No. There is no prize, draw or chance element.
How much, and how often?
Exactly 1 EURC on Base, one time per wallet address. No other token or network (no USDT, USDC, BTC or ETH), no recurring transfer and no way to give more.
Is the count one million real, unique humans?
No. The rule is one wallet address = one EURC, one time. One person can control many wallets, and the project does not identify or certify humans. Later transfers from the same address never get another number.
Will you ask for my name or email?
Never. No login, no account, no profile, no name, email, country, document, date of birth, nickname, message or social account. Only public blockchain data about the transfer would be checked. Blockchain transfers are public and pseudonymous, not anonymous.
Is 1,000,000 EURC the same as €1,000,000 received?
No. That is gross, in EURC — a euro-denominated electronic-money token, not cash or a bank deposit. Conversion or redemption, network, custody, operating and tax costs reduce net euro proceeds, which stay unknown until real accounting data exists. The target may never be reached.
Why would anyone give 1 EURC?
No noble cause. No fake promise. Just 1 EURC, once, onchain — with no strings attached. Give only if the question itself amuses you; otherwise give nothing.
Is my number permanent or mine?
It is symbolic only. Nothing is bought, owned, reserved, sold or guaranteed forever. If a gift is ever returned, its number becomes inactive and is never reassigned.
What data would you collect?
Only the blockchain and technical data needed to confirm a valid gift and prevent duplicates. Public pages would show only the symbolic number and its status. Blockchain transfers are public, permanent and pseudonymous, not anonymous.
Could I get my 1 EURC back?
Blockchain transfers generally cannot be reversed. Any return would be discretionary, not promised. Nothing can be transferred today.
Is this affiliated with Circle, Base, Coinbase or Bitpanda?
No. Independent project. No affiliation, sponsorship, endorsement or partnership with Circle, Base, Coinbase, Bitpanda, the ECB or Pontes. EURC and Base are named descriptively only.
What happens at one million?
It would close permanently. No number above 1,000,000 would ever exist.
